And first to cross the finish line is...
Well, I wasn't the first to cross the finish line but I am one in the very first year of ScriptFrenzy! I reached the 20,000 word goal at 4:15 am, June 30th, and had to get up four hours later for work. I was so excited I was bouncing off walls all day. Even though I'm not finished with the script yet, on page 89 of 120 to 129 pages, the ending is in sight. Even just as recently as 5 days ago, I felt I was still in Act 1 though I was much further along than that but now it feels like Act 3, nearing the final credits. I'm so incredibly thrilled, I'm giddy.
I wrote the sex scene last night, though my two main characters are still virgins as of this morning, I will remedy that before FADE OUT. I started early with a sex scene, made it to the love scene and next up, consummation. Probably be near, if not the final scene.
As of this writing, there are a cumulative 28,634,986 written for this years ScriptFrenzy! from over 6,000 screenwriters and playwrights and we still have thirty minutes to go here in eastern standard time and still hours to go elsewhere.
So let's make it final:
Over the next few days I'm going to finish the script and put it aside for a week or two before I start editing it. I'll spend that time working on Get Real! so I can send that off to the publishers. I'm looking forward to having a book in print even if I'm the one printing it. I'll have something to sell to those aspiring novelist this upcoming NaNoWriMo. I've got to start thinking about a story line for that too. I've got four months to figure that out. In the meanwhile, I want to start planning a BIG event fot the NaNo kick-off.
And I haven't forgotten about my skydiving jump. A little health issue has forced me to postpone it but I'm looking at jumping in about three weeks or so. I even have a few friends will to take the jump with me. YAAHOOOOOO!
