May is for Matthilda
May if for "Matthilda,"
the title of a pesky little script
I've been working on since 2006,
okay, so it's not so little,
still at a whooping 145 pages,
I've been working on it in stages,
twelve years from idea to FADE IN:
typing FADE OUT: took another two,
what next, I had no clue,
two more years on the back-burner,
6 days for a second revision,
12 months to fix plot holes and indecisions,
at 159 pages, a lot I needed to edit;
and now down to one-forty-five,
16 more, at least, to cut, I now must strive,
no time to procrastinate with a 31 day goal,
in front of my computer, I must discipline myself to stay,
By God, Matthilda will be finished by the end of May,

Hey, well done. Also, I think it's great to have goals to aim for in your writing. It's hard to hit a target if it hasn't been set. Good luck!
